In about a month we are getting new servers. At the moment I have exchange 5.5 on NT 4.0 platforms on a NT domain. I want to put win 2K on the new servers and keep exchange 5.5.
Are there any compatibility issues with exchange 5.5 and the 2000 platform? Also, what would be the best way to move everything. We have 8 exchange servers and will just move them 1 for 1 with the new severs. I was thinking of doing a full backup then restoring right afterward, but It's not anything I have to hurry so I also thought about just putting the new server online and moving mailboxes at night. Are there any utilitys that would hurry the process?
Or any other ways to do it??

You may also find that Thread10-466339 has some useful info, especially posts from those who successfully used fuego007's FAQ, and some added tips I posted at end of that thread.

I'll try it on a test sever right now and post the results....Thanks for the replies.
Also, any issues with exchange 5.5 running on a 2000 platform?

If your not going to a Win 2000 Active Directory environment, no major issues runnning Exchange 5.5 on a Win 2000 platform. I did what you you're going to do, so check the tips on thread10-466339.
