getting mysclcc to manipulate mysql database...but i can't find d/l

MYSQL stoped supporting Mysqlcc a whoe ago, and it will not connect to more recent versions of Mysql.

Why do you need it? Could you perhaps be able to use an alternative such as MYSQLYog?

i had heard about mysqlcc not an option anymore...i was going to use phpmyadmin, but the install on my computer is a little involved (?)...

what is MYSQLYog...and is it the best option, since i liked mysqlcc and it's ease of use...

i ultimately want to export the files to my server, and the server uses phpmyadmin.

Well when MYSQL stopped supporting MYSQLCC I also had to look for alternatives. I found MYSQLYog to be the closest to MYSLQCC, from the available options, and it was also free. Which aided in my decision.

I don't know whether its the best option out there, but its the best I found that filled my needs. Which were basically:

Connect to several DB's at the same time.
Export to sql files, for backup, and recreation.
Manage and control tables..

In essence its very similar to what MSLQCC was.

I suppose the export feature is what you would want, as you can then just point phpmyadmin to the created sql file, and have it recreate the DB on your server with minimal hassle.

There is also an Enterprise edition which has a wealth of additional features, but of course you have to pay for it.

I find that the free version suits my needs perfectly.

i just have one more question:

i created .sql files from the mysqlcc to export to phpmyadmin, and they work great. am i still able to use those same files to import into mysqlyog? and if so, how?

Yeah, Mysqlyog, has an import feature. From its main interface. "Import from SQL statements". Just point it to your SQL files, and it will run the files, and create tables and insert whatever data is specified in the files.
