Getting mouse position, coordinates

How do i get the the mouse x,y cordinates with perl and store it in a variable? The OS is Linux.

I think you'd have to look at Perl/Tk to get to grips with GUI components, but then again I could be wrong.

i think you are right from what i have been reading. I don't have the TK module installed yet.
