I have a Gateway 98 on hand that I believe used to be a 95. The 3 1/2 Floppy A Drive was broken so I replaced it. As I try to get into the Bios to set the A as the master drive (I disconnected the backup zip drive) I cannot figure out what key gets into the Bios. Any suggestions?

Usually, its the Del Key, or Cntrl key on some F2 key on some compaqs ive used, and even the F10 key. Why not go into Gateway's webiste and look for a manual on that particualr model of PC see if it says anything about accessing the BIOS.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

Thank you for the suggestions. However, as I might have failed to mention previously, I do not know the history of this machine. I do know that it has been messed with and had parts exchanged by someone who really didn't know what they were doing.

Then your only other recourse of action is opening it, and checking the motherboard for a make and model number usually printed on the main chip. Then go into the internet and find that motherboards manual.

Did you try with the other keys I mentioned?

A few suggestions here:-
One approach I've had some success with when I couldn't discover the key(s) required was to press as many keys as possible continuously as its starting up, to try to cause a keyboard error. Machine then usually gives an option to go into the bios settings.

dont forget the almighty ESC key, some bios use that one as well
