Getting Event ID 57, 289 & 1290

At our site we have (4) Exchange 5.5 (SP4) servers running on NT4 connected in our LAN segment via a standard Site Connector. Lately one of the Exchange server is getting MTA warning events 57, 289 and 1290 saying could not make a connection to the other Exchange servers. I have checked MS knowledge based, and it doesn't really give me anything that applies to us since I am not using X.400 or any DRAS connector. The LAN segment is in a 100Mbit backbone, so speed shouldn't an issue. Anyways, any thoughts would be appreciated.
