A client of mine is getting charged for calls from their old provider and new provider.
I have looked and it doesn't seem to be certain numbers or a group of numbers
The client has one PRI analog line.
I am just checking if he can match a call between the two bills for the same time and date and duration to check if the call is being routed somehow.

Do you guys know if a call can route in this way where it goes via their old provider then forwarded to their new provider therefore getting charged twice.

Any ideas would be great thanks and if you need anymore information just let me know.

Ill shortly be updating if he does/doesn't find a match between the two bills

Maybe they are still using the old provider for long distance. So, a call goes out the new pri and then routes over the long distance of the old provider.

No worries,

Sorry i didnt come back client didnt come back to me in regards to the other list of numbers but ill check with the client tomorrow to see if its just long distance numbers on the other bill

It'll be in the programming, namely the shortcodes in the users, system or ARS :)

By the way, PRI ISDN is not analogue! It is digital! In your post it states: The client has one PRI analog line. Just trying to be clear...

If they have just one PRI, how is it possible for calls to route to another CLEC unless they have calls forwarded? If you have say analog trunks from the old provider and a PRI trunk from the new provider and they are all in the same line group then the switch will grab whatever is available and that could be either analog or PRI.

sounds like telecomboy is correct here, I would bet that the old pri provider still has the long distance traffic pumped over their network
