I'm new to IP Office and I'm trying to configure a new system. Its version 6.0 with embedded VM. I'm trying to record the greetings for 2 auto attendants. The short codes are the default *81xx. I've been able to record one greeting by dialing *8101, but now when I try to re-record, it gives me a busy signal. If I call the system, the AA answers and plays the greeting I was able to record. I also get a busy when I dial *8102, *8201, *8202 but I don't get one if I dial *840x or *830x.
I've searched for a reason why this would've stopped working but I can't find it.
Where should I look?

check the shortcodes are still there and intact, then reboot the kit.

What release of R6 are you running?

Football is not a matter of life and death-It is far more important!!!!

make sure that your Auto Attendants are really 01 and 02 and that you didn't create some and delete them again, you can see the number in the AA programming

It says that it's 6.0 (8). The shortcodes are still intact and I have rebooted many times. I've also verified that the AA's are really 01 and 02. I'm still experiencing the problem.

Upgrade as soon as possible to 6.0.18
6.0.8 is nasty and bites you in the back when you do nto expect it :)

For recording the AA greetings you need to use *8104 for the first AA and *8204 for the second AA.

The *8101,2 and 3 are for when you use time profiles.

When you pay peanuts, you get monkeys!

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

Tlpeter, thanks for the info. I'll upgrade the system soon. Your note on *8104 makes sense since I did have time profiles in place at first but later removed them.
hopefully this will work. Thanks!
