I have a dB that was created by someone else, who I have taken their place. They setup users and passwords for the dB for which I have a list of them all. However the "admin" user still does not allow me to access some parts of the dB. The startup under "tools" is grayed out and I cannot choose what kind of Query to make ex:make table query. Does anyone know any ways around this? I would like to make the changes I need and finish this project. Please any and all advice would be appreciated! Thanks, Matt

Hi

Try holding down the shift key when opening the file. It use it to get around the toolbar issues when I am working on my stuff.

Check the security permissions for the admin user. It may be that admin doesn't have permissions to write new queries. You may also have to change ownership of the underlying tables for the query.
