running v.11.5, it was skipping in the previous version also but never said incomplete. Have dug high and low into the logs and database without any luck in figuring out what file is getting skipped. Like to find out so if it's not important will just filter it. Hate seeing that yellow incomplete exclimation. Any suggestions, I've only got the logs set to summary only do any of you think setting it to all activity will find what file is being skipped? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't bring my crystal ball with me today so you'd have to tell me what file is causing your backup to be incomplete.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Thanks for the reply GSC. That's the thing, I can't figure out what file is causing my backup to Incomplete. The logs does not give me any details or the database also. It just states that 1 file was skipped and I'm thinking that's the cause of the incomplete backup. Was wondering if their is any other way to figure out what file is being skipped.

Bugger, I didn't read your post thouroughly.

However you said:
"I've only got the logs set to summary only do any of you think setting it to all activity will find what file is being skipped"
You're right about this one.
Set the logging to full and you'll see what's causing your incomplete backup.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Running through the sessions in the job log of the incomplete job there must be a line called 'skipped items' where the log mentions that there is 1 or more skips.
With Windows agents the specified files are mentioned in the logs. However with NetWare and UNIX/Linux agents this is not always the case. You have to run through the specific agent logs to find out which file is skipped.

That is the thing it only states that 1 file was skipped but does not tell me what or where. I know what server, volume/drive, and time but after that it's clueless. I've checked the logs on the agent it self and gives me about the same information also. Normally with skipped files it'll tell me what, where, and why it was skipped. This one just baffles me? But tonight I'll set the logs to all activity and see if it makes a difference. I'll report something tomorrow.

Configure the agent also to log all activity if you plan to extend logging anyway.
