Get server statistics

Hi,
I need to be able to get server statistics, e.g no of users connected, processor utilisation etc, of novell 5 server from a client running dos. The client needs to be able to gather this info automatically so this seems to prevent the use of web utilities. Is there any way to do this ?

Can you make this any more difficult? How about uisng a 286 machine to run DOS?

your limiting your options pretty slim by using just a DOS workstation to collect this data. It can be done, it's just a real pain in the %$& you have to setup scripts and write up documentation so others can have a clue to what the system is doing yada yada yada.

Get it to windows at least, then you can pick from hundreds of different tools that will collect the data you want. Most can be found at

Hi Provogeek,
the catch is the client system cannot change from dos, you mention that it can be done using scripts could you give some idea where to start, examples etc. any help at all would be greatly appreciated
