Get data from a field on a form in a separate (open) database???

Any ideas how to do this?

Is the information you want only available on a form, ie, a new record not yet added, or is it available from a column on a row in a table in the open database.

If the first condition, you could attach a timer event on the form that periodically writes that data element to a ,txt file which your application can read.

If the second, link to the table and grab the information with a select query. Robert Berman
