Hi

I have a customer that cant transfer a call to an outside party, it is a hotel and the scenario is.

How should work
Guest rings reception to dial an external number and pass it through to bedroom, Reception presses transfer, dials 9, dials external number, external number answers, reception puts phone down, call is connected to bedroom.

How it is working
Guest rings reception to dial an external number and pass it through to bedroom, Reception presses transfer, dials 9, dials external number, call recalls to reception

Any ideas?

Thanks

Joe

Should it not be the case that the guest rings reception provides the number hangs up, reception then calls the number presses transfer rings the room and connects?

Hi
If the lines are Analogue CO Lines, then the Open Loop, also called Disconnect Clear MUST be set... If not the call does not go through and just recalls.
Not sure which part of the world you are in but in UK , GDK will need to set set as 500ms and exchange side at 800ms

Regards
Steve

Hi the lines are ISDN30 another problem i have found is that it does he same thing if transferring a incoming cal to reception to a speed dial

Any other thoughts folks?

Just a thought!

When dialling '9' from reception you will probably be accessing the last line in your first co group. Have the room phones got access to all co lines that reception have access to? Pgm 14 or 15 i think.

Other than that, have you tried the scenario using other service stations?

Has it always happened or just stopped working?

Hi

Yes i have made sure they have access to buttons and it did used to work, i just cant see why reception cant transfer an incoming call to a speed dial number if it has no restrictions in COS, that i would of thought would at least work, if i cant get that to work im sure the bedroom scenario wont work either
