G700 Gateway & S8300 IP Changes...? 1

I haven't had to do this yet, but the question arose.

Is there a document out there explaining how to change IP addresses, subnets, etc... on the gateways and S8300's?

We are planning on changing our IP addresses and my manager wants to support this in house, rather than relying on business partners.

Well everything you need is on support.avaya.com.

You could also use the Installation Wizard, but with S8300/G700 it's hit or miss.

i have found the IW to be good for a single G700 location but with multiple Gateways it sometimes fails.

telnet in to G700 then do this:

configure
set interface inband <VLAN><IPADDRESS><SUBNET><GATEWAY>
show ip route
clear ip route <ENTER existing route>
set ip route<Enter new route>
reset

telnet again to G700
configure
session mgp
set interface mgp <VLAN><IPADDRESS><subnet>
set interface voip v0 <IPADRRESS>
reset mgp

connect laptop to service port of S8300 and reconfigure server

This is basic G700/S8300 and does not cover any ip services or ip connected adjuncts.
