We have several G-700 gateways running S8300's. When we lose the WAN circuit the gateways go into LSP mdoe as designed. What is the procedure to force the S8300 to re-register back to the S8710 media server? We have been recycling the power on our gateways which requires someone to be on site.

Hi,
You can login on a S8300 in the same way as you login on your main system.
You can make with ASA a second connection pointing to your S8300.
Login procedure on the S8300 is exactly the same as on the main S8710. when logged you you can perform a "reset system 4" to reset the CM on the S8300.
If you are running ACM 3 this can be automated by defining mg-recovery-rules for the media-gateways.
