Many of you will understand that when you change your display adapters colour settings from 16/32bit to 256 colour, the appearence o ceratin icons change due to the downgrading of the colour like Internet Explorer and folders loose that yellow colour.
This is where my problem begins, i have my pc running win2k pro and all was working perfectly untill i changed my colour settings to 256 colour from 16bit. The icons changed colour as they usually do but when i came to change the colour back to 16bit, all colour was restored to everything apart from the icons which have remained in 256 colour. I have other machines running win2k pro and have not experienced this problem, and i never encounted this problem when this machine was running windows ME/98.
Please help to avoid a time consuming re-install of win2k!
thanks alot, you guys have been a great help!

Have you tried reloading/updating the video driver? Also running SP2 is always worth a shot. Michael
