Hello guys,

I'm looking to configure a FTP site for my customers to upload/download file from and too.

The server i'm currently working on is a 2003 OS, but is currently running as a Workgroup and not opperating in a domain.

I have two real requirements for the site, the first of which i already have running is what i refer to as a 'blind drop' site, where my clients can sign in and add files to the server but not read anything.

Now, I need to add a facility that would allow my users to sign into a unique root folder with a username and password so they can only view and write to thier own folder.

I would like to have the two systems running side by side on the same IP address, so the user can use the anonymous drop zone or sign into thier own folder.

I've seen a few tutorials for similar arrangements but they all seem to involve a domain of some kind, is there a way of doing this through a workgroup type environment.

Thanks for any advice,

Rob

In addition to this thought guys, i dont have a problem promoting the server to a Domain ... however i would like to keep all my XP Pro and Home clients running on the workgroup and still have access through RDP and File Shares to the server, is that doable?

I'd rather not promote to a domain, but if there isnt another method then it will probably have to be done.

Thanks,

Rob
