FTP site

We have our own ftp site in the company. And I have one standard login name and password that everyone use to login to the ftp site. People outside the company also use the same login name and password to get into the ftp site.

There are few computers in the company, If we try to login to the ftp site through those computers we get an error message " you dont have permissions to get into the ftp server".

We have one login name for the ftp site that everyone outside and inside the campany uses. But on most computers it allow us to get in but in some we get the error message. All computers are on XP pro. And Ftp server is win2K.

Anybody has any solution.

Try connecting to the FTP via IE.

Actaully we use IE to connect to the ftp site.

On those machines that are unable to connect. Check to see if under Tools -> Options -> Advanced Tab, that If "Use Passive FTP" is checked, to uncheck it. or if the other way around, check it. Then give it a go
