I'm trying(for the first time) to run a backup to a new FTP server. I setup a rule and schedule

This is the error I'm getting

Starting Backup according to Rule 1

I can ping the ftp server from ld 117...

Do I need a route?
Currently there is a rout in place

prt route
Call Server
ID Network Gateway
1 0.0.0.0 10.10.18.1

If I add 0.0.0.0 to FTP server address what would be the impact?

Thanks

If you can ping it then you already have a route to the server. Looks like a write permissions issue. Check the username and password you used and what permission that user has on the FTP server.

How can I check If I the right permission?

In Rule Type:Fixed Media Device or

Rule Name:FTP backup

IP Address of FTP server: 10.10.50.74

Login Name: phone

Password: ******

Password Confirmation: ******

Path: ftpserver(hostname)

Number of versions kept: 2

Does this look correct? Or im I missing something ?

You will have to check the FTP server itself not the PBX. Does the FTP server have a user account for phone?

You can try your settings by using FTP from the commmand line on your PC. If it works from your PC it will work from the PBX.

I can log into the FTP server from my PC...

The only thing questionable is the Path. should be something like 10.10.50.74\backups maybe.

Mine looks like this. Hope it helps.

=> prt bkpr
Number of Backup Rules defined = 1
----------------------------------------------------

NN Dest Parameters N-of-vers Name

----------------------------------------------------
1 FTP 172.16.24.14 5 FTP
Svcpbxbackup
PBX_Backups\backup

Thanks...

So 'Svcpbxbackup' is your user name and pbx_backups is your host name for your FTP server? Then 'backup' is a folder?

Mine looks like this:

=> prt bkpr
Number of Backup Rules defined = 1
----------------------------------------------------

NN Dest Parameters N-of-vers Name

----------------------------------------------------
1 FTP 10.108.50.74 2 FTP backup
phone
10.108.50.74\backup

Svcpbxbackup is the username.

pbx_backups is a directory. Looks like the hostname or IP doesn't need to be there. Sorry for the wrong advice. backup is a folder under pbx_backups

Removing the host name from the path did it...Thanks!
