ftp pub?? 1

Hi,

When I download files thru Web interface, the file will go to var/home/ftp/pub directory right? Is it different to tftpboot directory?

yes, you have to move them to /tftpboot, like this:
telnet to your S8300, or use SSH, then:

cd /var/home/ftp/pub
mv <filename> /tftpboot

so if you wanted to move some new MM firmware you just copied via downbload, rthen this would do it:

mv mm* /tftpboot

There is also a program which makes this very easy, it's called "WinSCP" (Windows Secure Copy), you can change to any directory on the S8300, and copy files directly from your windows computer to that directory. It uses SSH and SFTP (Secure FTP), it also has "restartable" FTP, so if a large file stops in the middle of a transfer, it will resume and continue.

After the upgrade and the files are already their in the /tftpboot. Do i need to delete the files? Inorder to free up my filesystem.
