ftp client

I have a need of building a application that fetch the content of a folder from a ftp client. It should only get files that are new or changed compared to the files locally. This should be sheduled.

Anyone have any ideas on how I should solve this?

Or maybe this could be done by using a ftp client like smartftp or someone else. Does anyone have any experience regarding this?

roboFTP may be able to do this. If you want a turn key solution, I'd ask on one of the windows forums, there's probrably a network admin out there someplace who has experience with one.
