ftp cgi file in ascii format

It depends on what FTP client you are using. In Windows FTP, type the command 'ascii' at the FTP> prompt and the mode will be changed to ascii for all subsequent file transfers.

Thanks, does the Dreamweaver ftp function use the Windows FTP? I couldn't find any ascii setting in Dreamweaver's options. There are just a couple of cgi files, among regular html files for my site, that I need to ftp as ascii. Thanks, AMc
