I’m trying to set up a FTP- backup of my 4620- phones and have the following problem:

FTP- Server and path is sent to the phone via settings.txt and the phone picks it up correctly. It also connects to the FTP- Server and a data connection is established, but no file can be uploaded, in the log- file of the FTP-Server I see an entry:

Unable to Open file, The system cannot find the file specified.

That doesn’t really surprise me as I’m trying to do a backup and there is no file yet that the system can find….Am I missing something?

Regards,

Frank

How many of these phones get the path via the settings.txt file? You should input the settings on the phones or the file will be overwritten each time a phone backs itself up. It is a pain in the ...but I had to set up login id's and pw's for each 46xx and give them seperate folders on the FTP server. This is so they keep their settings and backups seperate.

In the future everything will work...

at the moment it is only one phone, logs in to the FTP as anonymous and without PW, this works fine, the FTP- server grants access rights but no file can be uploaded

Unable to Open file, The system cannot find the file specified.

With FW 2.1 for the 4620SW- phones, ever phone’s file is prefixed with the phones StationID, so all phones can share a common folder on the FTP- server
