FTP backup and restore of 46XX phones

Hi ,

I have a customer and they want to have some sort of hot seating . I tried to do this with the ftp backup restore feature , but the phone after it has been used by another person , does not remember its username and password needed for the ftp server.

Is there a better way of doing this ?

are you trying to say that multiple people will be using the same 4600 sets and you would like to assign everyone an extention so that someone can use any 4600 set, log out, then someone else come behind them on a different shift and log into the same set and become their new extention?

In the 46xxsettings.txt, you can specify a FTP site for all phones. The new user to the phone will have to input a new directory, login and pw. So each of your users will need a seperate login and pw and directory.

In the future everything will work...
