I have just uploaded a web page for my wife using MS-front page. The Link I have on my W.Page when a sent a test message is not going anywhere.

Also when I do the same[test message] from my desk top, it goes to my MS outlook and stays on out box and goes no where.

When I called my Web provider they are saying , it has some thing to do with the MS Front page and they cannot help me resolve this problem for me.

I would like to know whet I am doing wrong.?

I am using 1& 1 web hosting company to upload my site

Thank you in advance.

Winston

does your ISP support FP. most websites need to have some software loaded to handle FP.

There is no special software needed to support linking.

If he was complaining that the hit counter wasn't working, or he couldn't publish, maybe that would be lack of FP server extenstions.

It sounds like he is complaining that a mailto link isn't working, but he didn't tell us what was placed in the 'To' box of the message, he didn't tell us if he is able to use other sites' mailto links from this computer, and he didn't tell us if he has tested the link on other computers.

First of all I was not complaining, I am asking for help!

When I tested the mail form my desk top at home where the wep-page was uploaded, it goes into my Out-Look out box and stays there..untill I open the Outlook and press the sent and recieve , then it sends out the mail where it was supposed to be Forwarded... in this case it is my own email address..

When I do the same from a remote computer, it goes nowhere...means it does not come to my email as it was directed in my Front Page Program before uploading it.

I have asked my friends to send some Test Messages....and they never reached me.

Thanks

Certainly nothing was meant by the statement that you have a complaint. If a link won't work for me, I will feel free to complain.

You first post said a link won't work.
Now you mention mail form.
Sorry, I am lost.

Could you be more specific as to what you are hoping to do and what happens?

if you are the webmaster and if you put a link on your web page so that someone form UK or China or Australia wish to click that link and send you a message...... that message will appear on your own email.....means the link that you provided on your web page working perfectly.

in short this is not happening.

I have done plenty of webpages before[with other ISP providers] using MS F.Page and never had
this problem.
