Easy question for one of you gurus:

I am running E2k in a mixed environment with ex5.5.
If I want to run a front end/back end configuration for OWA (this is running on the e2k box and NOT on the ex5.5 box) do I have to remove the 5.5 server and be runnig in native mode or will it work regardless?

Thanks!

Native doesn't matter. Both your front and back end servers need to be E2K. Your back end server needs to be Enterprise Edition...

I'm assuming I've read this right and I need toremove the 5.5 server first then?

yes, if you want those users homed on the 5.5 server to have access to E2K OWA...

I have no users home on this server. It's just running connectors at the moment as I haven't removed it yet. Thing is, I'm having great trouble doing so as I can't get the SMTP connector on the E2K server working and hoped for speed that I could avoid having to remove the 5.5 server at this point.
