In Files in \WTSRV\Install there are about 455MB of Uninstall files. I'm getting very tight on space on this server. Can I delete these files without causing problems? I know this is VERY broad question, but until I can rebuild this NT4 Citrix box to 2003 I need to free up my system drive.

Thanks!

Hi,

Don't see why not, it's usually when you install a service pack so you can roll it back.

Also, check all your documents and settings folders (profiles) for rubbish.

Check for Temp files/folders
Check for Temp Internet Files
Check for Memory Dump files (.dmp)
Check for Temp Print spool files in printers folder
Check Page File, can it be moved?

If your that short of space on your system drive, look at reconfiguring your printer spooler to use a different drive.

Does this help?

Cheers,
Carl.

Thanks Carl,

So you think it's safe to go and delete the $NtUninstall folders and the folders in the Installer folder? Just want to be clear. I've done the other things you have suggested.

Thanks again!

Hi,

If you don't want to roll back your Service Packs and Hot Fixes then this folder will be ok to delete.

You could copy the sub directories to either another server or another drive!

Cheers,
Carl.

Thanks Ogi, perhaps I'll just do that. Move them to another server for the time being.
