If one has a WAN connection of three sites using Frame Relay. Is it necessary to implement a PIX at each location, since the Frame Relay connection is private? If it is necessary why is it?
This will dependent on how you use these line, if you have multiple sites and these sites all have point to point lease lines back to the head office and no internet connection then you can get away with one firewall with multiple interfaces at the head office, you can terminate each link on one interface and then control what users can do.
Would it be better that each site have there own connection to the internet or is it better that the two remote sites go through the head office for the internet connection? Wouldn't this have a single point of failure?
Without knowing your circumstance it would be difficult to say what would suit you, it will all depend on if you want to bring everything under one roof and control what people can do from the HQ but this may not be the cheapest option, the cheapest option would be to get Broadband connection for each remote site simple ADSL2+ would do this and then setup site to site VPN to the HQ.
