How do you check the frame rate of your graphics card?

Load up Quake3 and go to the console on demo mode

Haven't got Quake 3...there must be some utility which does it. Aw yeah, I'm running XP Pro.

Search for a program called FRAPS - it works with just about any program.

Try using 3DMark . It can help bench your system and give you an idea how tweaks and upgrade to your system impact your video performance. Due to all of the variables, remember that benchmarks are good for ONLY compairing changes with your system no between systems.
