I am VERY new to QuarkExpress. I have a version 4.1 and have been reading up on a beginners book.

I'm learning how to put a frame around text. I'm having trouble making the text inside the box look centered...centered in a top/bottom not a left/right way.

The top of the text looks fine...close to the frame...but the bottom text always has what seems to be more blank spaces before the frame. Every time i try to close the frame up close to the text I loose the text.
Any Suggestion?
Again...sorry for the ignorance I am still learning.

First, make sure you don't have any stray hidden charactors after your text (spaces, tabs, carriage returns, etc.) as they can sometimes interfere with spacing.

Now, select the textbox, go to Item > Modify, select the 'Text' tab, and look for the Vertical Alignment section. You should be able to find an option here that will center your text vertically.
