MY
Windows XP has been launched (as if you didn't already know) and I would like to know whether anybody in the community has the opportunity to test their current systems with the new OS. We cannot stop our clients from upgrading their pc's and I would like to know what are the potential pitfalls and how to work around them. Anybody??

HI
FoxPro 2.6 DOS is working without a trouble on my limited testing of my executables in XP unit. But this is not time tested.

Very similar to working in WinMe or Win98 or W2000

my FroPro26 dos not work since i upgraded to xp i get an error " Divide By Zero or overflow error" is there a way to get around this?

I was helping my brother who was having problems running an app that was built on FoxPro 2.5b, running under Win XP. He also was getting a "Divide by Zero or Overflow Error". The app worked fine on his Win95 laptop (120mhz), but not on his new WinXP Sony Vaio (1GHZ).

After searching, I found the following MSKB article:
and another good link:
If you do a search in google for:( foxpro "divide by zero" )the first 2 links are the MSKB and the users.aol.com link. Might it have something to do with CPU speed as suggested by the 2 links. Both webpages point to patches.

I've successfully worked around the "divide by zero" message.

What I did:
1. Downloaded as noted in 2. extracted the patch2x.exe and readme.txt to my application's (or foxpro's) directory.
3. Followed the instructions in readme.txt:
- Make backup copy of foxw250b.esl (or whatever version you're running)
- Ran the following: patch2x.exe foxw250b.esl (or whatever version you're running)

Divide by Zero message is history....

I'm in the same boat and would also like to know how fp2.6 apps will work with xp - I have a user already who is getting an 'illegal command' error message.

tia.
