I have inherited a small nt4 network and have just added new pdc and replicated users and groups from old pdc, now bdc. We have just started loading application software, foxpro software is no problem works fine once network drive is mapped. However in sql software when I map the network drive to a machine (w2kpro)it works fine but when I log off that machine and another user logs on the sql program shortcut is gone. To further confuse the issue a sql program that was replicated to the new pdc works fine for users from any workstation.
any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sound like a profile problem on the Windows 2000 Professional. I think what your saying is that the shorcut is missing when another user logs in. If this is the case, log in as you. Right click and select copy on the shortcut. Goto, C:\Documents and settings\All Users\Desktop and past the shortcut. Now, log in as the user...the shortcut should be there... Joseph L. Poandl
