Hi,
I have a mailmerge that uses a foxpro 2.6 table with memo fields. The memo fields seem to be truncated when the merge is run? I have tried updating the odbc driver with no luck. Has anyone had this problem, is there a work around?

thanks
Earle

Earle,
Is this mail merge in VFP or in Word? If the later, then the question really needs to be posted in an Office / Word forum.

Just out of curiosity, is it being truncated at the word preceeding 255 characters?

Have you tried using the VFP 8.0 OLEDB provided instead of the old VFP 6.0 ODBC driver?

Rick

I have been having this problem for a long time, and would dearly love to have it solved. When using Word 97 running on W95 or W98 this worked superbly, but now we use Word 2000 on W2000, and the text from the Memo is truncated to 255 chars. A work around, outputting the contents of the Memo to a text file, then using ‘INCLUDETEXT’ in the Word master document works, but tends to give highly erratic results in terms of font types and sizes.

I have found the answer to this problem. I searched the ms knowledge base and found that the problem is resolved with the office service pack. Make sure you apply at least sr-1 to office 2000.
