Foxpro in Unix SCO....

Hi,

I have foxpro 2.6 in uxix sco 3.2v5.05. I have Fox opened up on my allt f5 screen and a ftp.prg program running at all times.

When I go to a different screen, example allt F6. My ftp program on allt f5 stops working properly, and as soon as I go back to allt f5, it appears to be working just fine again.

Bottom line is my ftp.prg program that runs at all times on allt f5 will not work unless I'm at allt f5 sreen.

Any ideas on this?

The issue is the alternate screen methods of the SCO, if your app is not interactive (meaning requireing you to press buttons) I would start it up as a deamon process

You also might want to post in the SCO forum

logged on as root
#myexecutable &

or place the command in the /etc/rc.d/8/userdef SCRIPT
to start at boot init6 (multi-user mode)

and send it to the background
