Foward on no Answer not working???

We have a customer with IPO r8 Essential.

The customer wants: The receptionnist to answer all incoming calls and if she's busy or away from her phone, then the call is route to the AA (which will give the option of pressing "0" to try reaching the receptionnist again or "9" to leave her a message).

What we configured: User 221 with voicemail on. Checked the Foward on busy/on no answer and make it point to another virtual user 415. The user 415 has an Unconditionnal foward to a ShortCode *98 which will call the AutoAttendant with the feature AutoAttendant and AA:AA as Telephone Number.

The problem: All the incoming calls are going in the 221's voicemail after 15 seconds rather than the AA.

The destination in the Incoming Call Route is 221. If we change it for 415 or *98, it goes in the AA. When we put it back to 221, it goes in the VM!!!

Any suggestions please???!!!

Thanks

Turn voicemail off!
This is how it works.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

But in the AA, there is the choice of pressing 9 to leave a message at 221 (we created the SC #XXX, Voicemail Collect, "#"N) which goes directly to the voicemail.

I turned off 221's VoiceMail and the call just keeps ringing. No Forward and no VM???

Set the forward on no answer/busy number of 221 to *98.
Set the no answer time to 15.
Disable the divert on busy.
Enable the divert on no answer.
enable for internal calls to be forwarded

This works best on version 2.1, I advise you to downgrade.

A simple mind delivers great solutions

create hunt group called reception, turn off VM/queueing

change mode to sequential

add real user as first user to group, add virtual/phantom user as second user. Set the no answer time on the HG to 15 seconds or whatever.

point option 9 to actual reception user, option 0 to reception group.

make sure FwdUC is on, pointed to code that goes to AA, and make sure forward HG calls is checked.

Intrigrant goes oldschool :)
Back in the days of working software!!!

Thanks everybody...

I did what AAcon said and it works just fine!!!

Little problem with this solution:

Since I made this setup, if there's a second call while the receptionnist is alrealdy on a call, it goes directly to the AA. Is there a way, in a HG, to let ring multiple calls at the receptionnist extension while she's on the phone even if she's part of this HG?

Thx

Turn queueing on, put the user that forces to AA into an overflow group, put that overflow group onto the primary group.

From your first post

The customer wants: The receptionnist to answer all incoming calls and if she's busy or away from her phone, then the call is route to the AA (which will give the option of pressing "0" to try reaching the receptionnist again or "9" to leave her a message).

That's not what you asked for :)

oh you know what people want and what they ask for are two different things.
