Found New Hardware Won't Close HELP 1

After install my Lexmark 1100 printer on my new XP installation I keep getting a New Hardware Wizard pop up screen telling me that it can not find a file and can not intall the hardware. The only option that I get is to click finish which closes the screen for a few seconds only to have it pop up again. The printer/scanner works fine. How can I get the screen to stop popping up? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check Control Panel Printers and Faxes. If the printer is listed, highlight the listing and delete it.

Shut down windows, disconnect the printer cable from the computer or printer. Restart the computer and Windows. Install the driver software according to the instructions in the download set. Very Important: Do _not_ connect the printer to the computer until told to do so in the instructions.
