Hello,
I searched for this one but found nothing definite about it.
Customer setup a phone to be forwarded with destination code and route. The extension forwards like it should, but it picks off calls before the receptionist or the AA can get the call and the caller is sent to the cell phone, doesn't do this when forwarding is canceled at that set. I suspect that the 4 lines they have appear and ring at this extension and that is the cause. They have a couple of other extensions set up for forwarding and the problem doesn't occur. Am I on the right track? I gave them support over the phone to set this up. Now the guy just wants us to go to the site and clean up some other things that they have tried to do themselves.
Thanks,
Dmac,

Do the other phones setup with forwarding have the lines appear and ring? Doesn't sound like it, when a phone is forwarded all lines set to appear and ring on it will also foward.

That's the problem, I tried to help them the other day over the phone to check if the other two had the lines assigned. The guy didn't want to get into it cause he was afraid he might mess it up more. It's a couple hour drive from our office. Just trying to save a long drive. At the current cost for gas here in So Cal it would be alot cheaper to do it over the phone.
Thanks,
Dmac,

maybe it would be easier for the customer if you walked him through doing a set copy from one of the sets that is not forwarding.
I'm sure you are aware it's just:

Where in So. Cal are you and where is the customer, maybe you can sub this out to some one in their area. Just a thought, cause I know what you mean about these gas prices here in So. Cal.

Roldan,
Were in Carlsbad. I have to travel from San Diego. I already ran that by my boss and he still had me go to Redondo Beach, few miles from LAX. We have a couple of people we could use up that way but he thought he could make some money on it.We might of made $50.00 bucks. It cost me $50.00 bucks to gas up the van to get there and back.
Dmac,

Yeah the gas prices are steep, their supposed to go down a little, but I heard on the news that they will be going up again in the summer, I guess it just comes with the territory.

how about selling a RAD to the customer and make that the last trip for programming changes

Hello,
I guess that was discussed with them with one of the sales people. They didn't want to pay for the RAD install.
