I don't quite recall how to set up forwarding on our companies main tele# (npa-nxx-2100) so it forwards along until somebody answers it.

I know how to set the FDN parameter on a set. For instance, most phone ports here are set to FDN 4989 (which is voicemail). So, "forward on no answer to voicemail", which is common.

What I'm trying to do is this: If the main # is not answered then it forwards to person X, if x does not answer, it forwards to person y, if y does not answer it forwards to person z.

How can I implement that without disturbing my "forward on no answer to voicemail (x4989)" setting? See where I'm stuck?

Thanks guys!

you can't, unless you want to use call forward by call type. outside calls and internal calls can be sent to different fna targets.. but any call will fna for 3 hops and stop... if your not using a console, just make the main answer station a mcr, with 3 or 4 appearences, then send that fna to a mcr that rings on several stations

I certainly appreciate your responses!

Javier, that's a bit over my head I'm afraid.

I did phone sys. admin for about 3 years, but that was 10 years ago. So I remember some stuff....but anything like you posted I'd probably ask the local phone tech to come in & do....(and as you know, they're expensive!!!)

Thanks though.
Rob

I worked on a marine base in GA and I set the console to ring a 2616 after 15 sec and if that phone wasn't answered after 4 rings then it FNA to rang on 4 other phones.
