Take away your domain in the Recipients Policies - Default Policy If the solution is out there, let us know it was helpful, so others can benefit from it as well..

its not allowing me to remove the domain name from the default policy, i tried to give the forwarder host name as my external server (i,e domain.com) i am still trying to make it work but no use,
any more hints or tips.

make sure it is not the default before you take it away, it's supposed to go If the solution is out there, let us know it was helpful, so others can benefit from it as well..

Try this:
Under the protocols click on SMTP and right click on the Default SMTP Virtual Server, choose properties, on the messages tab for the setting "forward all unresolved .."
input the IP address of the external server in as [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]. The brackets are necessary for an IP address.

Just a shot in the dark, maybe it will help.

hi guys,
