I am looking to forward the main line to our tech support department, but not the main switchboard number that is on the phone also. Is there a way to separate the lines when forwarding?
Incoming call route for main line goes to Hunt Group 200-Main. Switchboard phone is a member of the group, thus rings when the main line rings. Set the Out of Service destination for the Main Hunt Group to the Hunt Group for tech support. Put a Set Hunt Group Out of Service - 200 button on the Switchboard phone. Press the OOS button, main line rings to tech support, but calls directly to the Switchboard phone ring as usual
Ok i will try this, this will work with the 1120 ip phone? The main DN to the phone is the tech support number and main line is on key 2 and 3 on the other phones.
