Forward Live Answer Extension to voice mail after hours

I would like assistance please, with setting up a designated live answer extension (the Mayor) to a voice mail announcement after hours saying the office is closed.

CS1000M at Rls 6.
Call Pilot at Rls 5
Call Pilot Application builder.

Business hours - Mon to Fri 8:30 to 4:30

Main number for the mayor is x7900.

During business hours, this extension is always answered live. If the Mayor is actually on his extension, it short hunts to an overflow line on various secretaries phones.

He would like after hours calls to go to an announcement saying the office is closed. Right now, they ring no answer after hours.

What would the best way to accomplish this, to continue being live answer during the day for 7900 but to have 7900 automatically go to voice mail after hours?

Should I implement call redirection by time of day on the Mayor's set or the secretary's set?

The simplest way would be to change the secretary's phone CLS to SFA (secondary forwarding allowed)

In this scenario, calls would ring to the mayor's phone, then forward no answer to 4031, then forward no answer to 4000.

This may not be exactly what they want due to the number of ring cycles before it gets to VM but it is an option where they don't have to do anything.

Otherwise, yes use "call redirection by time of day" or front end 7900 with a CallPilot application using time and day routing.


 
another way... send all his calls to voice mail... take his number off his phone.. make it a maxp 1 acd ncfw to mail... then use a tod/dow/hoilday filter to route the call to either just a recording, a recording that allows a msg or his phone.. you give his phone a new non did, non published number...

i call 1234, it is an acd sent to mail, it is a vsdn aimed at an app.. that app looks at the time of day, day of week etc then routes the call..
