Hello,

I have a person who has moved off campus and we need to forward that DN so that if someone calls the DN, whether internally or externally, it forwards directly to the number out of our system, off campus.

Currently the phone is setup as a type 500 analog extension.

Do I have to out this phone and create an ACDN or something?

I know I can go to the phone and use the SPRE code forwarding method as I do have the FTR CFW 16 programmed into that DN, but I was hoping for a way I could remotely program it as I am off campus and it will not let me enter the number to forward to from here.

Also, I'd prefer to not have to tie up that TN port for a phone that will no longer be in use on campus, etc.

I hope I am explaining clearly enough, I need help on this asap, greatly appreciated,

Thank you.

The best solution is to program the DN as a phantom (non physical) You will need to out the current TN and re-program onto a spare phantom TN. To check if there are any spare phantom TN's.. You can also create a ACD Q that is NCFW to the external number but uses ACD Q licensing.

how do I know which ones are phantoms?

Also, how do I then have the phantom phone forward directly to the external number once I create it?

Can you use MOV to move from an existing actual TN to a phantom TN?

Or do I have to out the existing phone, then recreate on the phantom TN?

(thx for the quick reply, as much programming detail provided as possible, I do all my programming command line, and from home, I'm dialing into the SEB modem to accomplish this, fyi)

When you put in the below commands the phantom TN's are listed with PHANTOM next to them. If your working on a 11C then the phantom TN's are usually configured loop 61 and above. Please note that you may not have phantom loops configured - we will go there after you have checked this out.

CDEN
TYPE 500 TN 061 0 00 02 PHANTOM 4D
TYPE 500 TN 061 0 00 04 PHANTOM 4D

If you have a spare phantom TN available then you will need to out the existing TN (print first to keep relevent information if required later) then create new 500 but use the phantom TN.

You will need to make sure that the TN has CLS set to CFXA for external forwarding and also you may have to allow NCOS level for required divert number (depending how your PABX is configured.
You set the divert number at the below feature command

FTR DCFW 16 xx-xxxx-xxxx (external number)
Hope this helps?

yes, that is good stuff, I didn't know about that, my LUVU does not report anything with PHANTOM in it. So either they are all in use, or I don't have any configured for use on this switch. (Option 81C)

So, I guess I need to know how to configure some phantom TNs, or I could do the ACDN route as well, I have no idea how to look up my licensing status on the ACDNs to see if that's an issue or not, I believe I added an ACDN or two since I've been here, but I mostly do moves adds and changes and basic stuff to keep the system running, so I'm learning as I go. Thx for the help so far, hope I can get this to work, it's for an important executive way up in my chain of command.

I think it might be quicker if you set up an dummy ACD number. Out the current TN (print first to keep relevent information if required later) then program ACD in LD 23 with DN. At the NCFW prompt enter the outgoing access code (ie 0 or 9) then the external number. Then test to make sure it works. Good luck.

agree with the last post, only a couple of prompts to set it up, maxp 1 acd

that call internal or external would end up at that outside line.. just ignore all other prompts, and that requires zero lic or tn's and no one is likely to out it, and it is never busy internal

Phantom TNs is an optional software package for the 81C. Unless you have paid for it, you won't be able to use it.
I agree, that the ACD is the faster and easier way to do it.

Thank you, I outed the DN and then created it as an ACD with the NCFW setting, I was able to test and it worked aok. Thank you very much for the help, that works perfectly.
