Formulas will not work

I have a simple addition forumla in a row of cells to add up their respective columns. However, when I change the values in a column, the cell with the total does not change.

Try pressing F9 or save and let us know if it re-calculates

Yes. When I press F9, the cell recalculates.

Try going to Tools>Options

On the "Calculation" tab, is "Automatic" marked? If not, click it and press "ok".
