Forms Base Authentication breaks public folder access.

Hello All,

When I enable Forms Base Authentication anonymous access to public folders stops working. I use public folders extensivly and need anonymous access to work but I also like the Forms based login. I've looked and can not figure out why anonymous access stops working on public folders. Any help will be appreciated!

I've run into this same issue since applying Form-based authentication on Exchange 2003. Can anybody provide insight?

Try having the users log in with a fqdn in either of the following two formats and see if that works for you. It worked for me.

username@Domain.com

domain.com\username

Let me know if that makes a difference for you. If it does, I can provide some further insight.

Even found a sample script on ms.com to automatically throw in the @domain.com for folks.
