Formatting Numbers 1

This should be simple but I can't figure it out quickly. We are exporting data from a database into access, doing our query's and exporting that to excel for the end user. The whole process is automated and no interaction from the end user until they get there excel spreadsheet.

From the text file from the database for balances we have a number like 225700, this is equivalent to $2257.00, however every formatting option i use to try and show currencty keeps returning $225,700.00. Currently I have the field formatted just as a number on import, have tried currency also both giving me the same reults.

You should always describe what you mean by "giving me the same reults". It looks like at some point you need to divide the number by 100. I generally never format a value until it finds its final resting spot.

By same results I mean no matter how I import the data (data type) and set the formatting options (currency, 2 decimal spots, etc) on the table design i get the same result, the text field of 225700, which should be $2257.00 returns as $225,700.00

Those are the results that I would expect. As stated previously, you need to divide your values by 100.
