Formatting in Outlook 2000 Calendars

I'm working on something for a friend, so I don't have Outlook 2000 in front of me, but in Outlook XP you can do bullets and fonts when creating a meeting.

However, when I invite myself for a test meeting, the announcement arrives in plain text, same thing if I invite a friend.

So my question is: is this a setting on my end that's sending out plain text (I've tried with iCalendar checked and unchecked) or is this something that goes out by default? I would think that wouldn't be the case otherwise why have formatting there in the first place?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Gary

weogarth,
Try this in Outlook...
Tools->Options->Mail Format->
Compose in this Mesasge Format:
Pick-> Rich Text.
Hope this helps...

Hi

Thanks for the response but I'm not doing a mail message. I actually already do have email set for RTF by default.

I'm talking about creating a new meeting appointment in Calendars and sending out stuff to invitees.

When I compose the meeting, it looks fine. Then I invite myself and send it out. If I look in my sent folder, it looks fine. When it arrives, however, it is clearly plain text with all formatting removed.

The bizarre thing is this: When I PRINT the arrived meeting invitation that looks like plain text, the formatting is there again. It's almost like it's being surpressed somehow but I can't find where.
