Quick details about what I am trying to do and what my table looks like.
Guts of the table is 3 colums

Company name | Deal name | Deal manager

Goal is an excel export that looks like

Company name | Deal manager 1 | #of deals with company | Deal Manager 2 | # of deals with company

So that each is in its own row.

I started with a quick report that uses a counter in group heading1 to give me

Company name
John Smith 4
Jane Doe 3
Joe Blow 1

My main issues at this point.

I cant split a header into colums to do an "across then down" like i can in details.

I cant move the count down into details.

Even if i get rid of the "counter" and just have managers name in details i cant seem to get my details to export into colums into excel..they always go into seperate rows.

Thanks in advance for any direction.

Use section formatting and turn OFF "Free Form Placement" on every section.

This will force horizontal guidelines on your sections and line up the rows better when you export to Excel.
