Formate the Y axis caption on chart report

Hi All

I am using CR 11. I have created a chart which shows data per month but the caption for each bar is 8/2007,9/2007,10/2007. Instead I would like it to show Aug-2007, Sept - 2007 , Oct - 2007. I have tried formatting the group field but it doesn't work.

Any idea how to do this ?

Have you tried using a formula field to format the date value and then use that formula field as your grouping field. You can use the ToText function in your formula to format the date as you wish.

Like: ToText(yourDate,"MMM-yyyy")
