format al my partitions of my HD 1

Hi, I have a Problem with a HD.
It's a HD of 13 GB and it had 4 equal partitions. I formatted this into NTFS, but now I had to instal this HD in a old PC(p200mmx,32ram) because the previous in that one crashed. I wanted to instal win98 because I think win2K is to big for this pc.
The problem now is that I could only format the C into a Fat32 partition. The other 3 partions couldn't be formatted into Fat32, So I can't use my other 3 partitions on this pc.
Does anyone know some kind of software that can help me to format completely my HD and so overrule the win2K limitations?

You could run fdisk which would destroy all data or get Partition Magic

Fdisk doesn't help.

what I actually want is something that reset my HD to the initial settings(like it was when I got it new)

You can use fdisk to remove all partitions on the HD. This will allow you to use the entire 13GB in any fashion you choose. I don't understand what you mean when you say 'fdisk doesn't help'.

I would still recommend eventually getting Partition Magic as it has helped numerous times, but Kelson hit it right on to start from scratch. If you already have the OS setup and don't want to start over, get the PAtition Magic and delete all 3 extras and resize the one partition to take the whole drive.

If I wanted to wipe out a hard drive I always used GDISK. Pretty good.

I recommended Partition Magic because it seemed a waste to wipe everything if you already have it running and I have used it on many different OS's (DOS, Win3x OS/2, Win9x, Linux, WinNT, Win2K) for many years without a problem. The only place there is a problem is if you have a RAID configuration, in which case get their Volume Manager package.

I'll second the suggestion of Partition Magic. Very useful piece of software.

Partition Magic is pretty cool but it's also kinda expensive. If you want your drive like when you got it new you need to get a zero-fill utility. This should be available, for free, from the HD manufacturer. I would think FDISK should be able to remove all the partitions but you never know.

FDISK will remove the partitions along with your data. There are no free utilities that I know of that will let him remove his additional partitions and then expand his primary partition to include all the recovered space with a loss of data.
