Hi. I'm trying to find out the best way to get an html form to submit to a FileMaker database (instead of using cgi).

1. Does the db have in the same server folder as the html pages? I'm thinking about using a hosting service for my html pages but a local server for my database.

2. Does anyone know of some good instructions for this whole process?

I have some FileMaker books but they go into CDML and Lasso but I don't need to post webpages, just get some fields from pages into the database.

Thanks.

1. NO, FileMaker has its own "web" folder where u would put your pages OR "CDML Files" folder for "action" pages OR use any web server to host HTML and point them to your DB server
2.
"I don't need to post webpages, just get some fields from pages into the database."
-- well....that is how you "post it into the db"...by making HTML+CDML pages that do insert, delte, update etc. on you DB

All the best!
