I have created a form with subform. What I need to do is duplicate the current record, creating an identical new record with a blank key field. I have tried many different ways to get it to perform the required function but with no success. Any solution would be gratefully accepted i.e. macro, code or SQL.

This is probably something very simple, but with limited knowledge it is proving to be a nightmare.

Thanks

Jim, I would need some more info to continue with this. With a form and subform, there are usually two tables involved. Do you need the main form record duplicated or do you need the subform record duplicated? Also, what would you do with the record if it has no key id?
